Artist's Description

Taking Time By Diannah Lynch

Doug, my husband, survived, after a doctor stated that 2% of the people who come into the hospital as sick as he was, survive. Doug was in a coma. Family was called in and ministers came. We prayed God's will for Doug. After several days he opened his eyes for the first time.

After forty days and forty nights in two hospitals, physical, occupational and cognitive therapies completed, Doug is healed, is well, is happy to be home, and is looking forward to returning to work June 1st, after missing 3 1/2 months.

We are thankful God has the final say and we have learned what is truly important, and we have learned how to take time to smell the flowers :)

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
