The old homeplace filled with many lifetimes of memories will not stand many more winters in these mountains.

Located in the area of the Rocky Knob Cabins, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, and near the town of Meadows of Dan, Virginia, this old home has seen many winters.

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
