The weight of the ice was more than this tree could take. The tree cracked under the pressure and was down the next day.

If I had waited, I would have missed the shot. This is a classic example of taking a photograph when you get that feeling that says..."that would be a great shot" ~ we might not get another chance at it the way it was.

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
