Can You See Me Now? By Diannah Lynch
The tiny screech owl wasn't much bigger than the palm of my hand.
For as long as I can remember, this particular tree has been call the "Bear Tree." Although we haven't spotted any, yet, we have been told that bear cubs climb inside. So far, we haven't seen any bear cubs, but I have seen a large bear and large bears do roam in this area. I always look when walking through this section of the woods, just in case.
I glanced up and saw the screech owl. He hid for a moment before peeking out to watch me watching him. This was the first time I've ever seen one this small, and I was so thankful to have my camera with me. I rarely "leave home without it."
It's always a blessing to see one of God's precious and beautiful creatures.

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
