Generations of families have visited Mabry Mill Gristmill through the years. Our grandson, Ethan, is drawing Mabry Mill for his mom, our daughter.
Ethan's great grandmother painted a picture of Mabry Mill many years ago. It is a special place. Location ~ Milepost 176 on the Blue Ridge Parkway near the towns of Meadows of Dan and Floyd, VA, Patrick and Floyd County.

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
