Someone's old home place falling apart from the ravages of time and one too many winter storms in these mountains.
How many families lived in this old home? In its day it must have been filled with love and laughter. It had all the necessities of the day ~ a front porch, a chimney, a tin roof for listening to the rain, and of course, a wonderful yard for children to play and run in.
The old home is located in the mountains of Virginia near a beautiful little place called Walnut Grove.

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
