I was wide awake on our flights to and from Alaska, thinking ~ "How can anyone sleep?" Having not flown in more than twenty years, I had forgotten how thrilling flying was.

I believe I must have been one of the only people awake during most of both flights. My eyes, big as saucers, staring out the window, feeling the feeling, seeing the beauty, and not wanting to miss a second. It was awesome.

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
