Description
Thou Art With Me by Diannah Lynch
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. ~ Psalm 23:4.
Comfort is what we seek when we have walked through the valley of the shadow of death ourselves, or with someone we love. When it comes the time for our loved ones to walk through the valley, we walk with them as far as we can go with them, holding their hand, and then He takes their hand and walks with them the rest of the way Home.
My husband, Doug, has always been supportive when I would have an idea for a photograph..as with this one, I Will Always Love You, and others. We did this photo in October.
On February 15 he was admitted to the hospital. After two hospitals, extensive physical, occupational, and cognitive therapies, we returned home on March 26th. Forty days and forty nights. More therapies continued until his release with a good bill of health from our family doctor on June 1st.The doctor told us the day we left the first hospital that as sick as Doug was, that 2 people out of 100, survive. Doug survived!
We are grateful God has the final say. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death..." took on a new meaning for us. We feel we walked through the valley together and by God's grace we came home together.
We are thankful we believe in God and miracles. Also, the day this paragraph was added, the date this photograph was last viewed was the day he went into the hospital ~ February 15th.
