The peacefulness and close to God feelings of this special place goes deep within my heart, and the hearts of many others who travel, or have traveled here. The mountains of Virginia, near the Blue Ridge Parkway, between Mabry Mill and the Rocky Knob Overlook. Near the towns of Meadows of Dan and Floyd, VA.

From the beginning of my photography adventures I have continually prayed to see the beauty the way God wants me to see it. It's as if blinders have been removed from my eyes and I am seeing so many things for the first time. On those special moments when downloading photos and I have that "Ahhhhhhh" moment, or that photo that brings tears to my eyes, or a smile to my face, I feel humbled and grateful. It is so easy for me to get lost in the shot, sometimes taking dozens of photos of the same scene; the same flower, leaf, landscape, person ~ whatever image I may be shooting.
