Description
Corn Corn Corn by Diannah Lynch
Anytime I see a cornfield in the summertime, from the time the seeds sprout until the stalks are tall and the corn is full and ready for picking, it reminds me of a favorite movie where the actor has purchased all kinds of seeds for planting.
The seed purchased, all turn out to be corn seeds and when the seeds start sprouting, he realizes that all they've planted is corn, and he makes the comment; "Corn, corn, corn. Nothin' but corn." They eat corn for every meal. Even breakfast.
Many times we have stood out in our garden, among the cornstalks, pulled the ears, shucked it, and ate it right there in the garden. Not one ear made it to the kitchen, much less a pot of water. And it was glorious :)
